I have a friend, she was raised Catholic. We've talked about liberal/conservative values and I can get her to agree on Abortion (right to life) and Free speech vs Hate speech. She thinks she is up on the news and well read but only listens to NPR. She doesn't like (my) guns - we are working on that. I just gave her a list of books to read, "1984", "A Brave New World", "Animal Farm" and "Fahrenheit 451". She barely remembers the names from high school (we are 50). Are there any good ones I've missed?
