It's worse. Nutcase introduced a bill to "ban assault rifles." Yea. Congress is literally trying to violate the U.S. constitution.

Fortify their elections then

Too bad for them. Pistol caliber “assault rifles” are readily 3D printable. Within a few years no amount of legislation will stop the inevitable.

That is an excellent point. But their objective is simply to make armed resistance ineffectual. I'm not an expert about guns, but I would think a pistol caliber has much less range and power to be effective in combat against "assault rifles." That is a win for theses usurpers.

Yes I agree, however from what I can tell current issue with 3D printed rifles is the barrels and chambers have to be metal. It’s possible to electro-chemically machine a barrel in your garage but it really only works for straight walled cartridges. Most rifle ammo has a shoulder so it’s difficult to get the complex chamber cuts. Assuming you have access to a lathe it’s entirely possible to make a complete rifle caliber assault rifle with a printer. The tech is really close it’s just needs a little more time. Also some guy on YouTube is prototyping a printed rifle chambered in 45-70 Government.

I've posted this here before, but I recently learned that the majority of the guns we used in the Revolutionary War were homemade.

People will likely start buying up metal-capable 3D printers if shit gets as bad as it looks like it will.

There's no way around 2A. It is HARD-WIRED into our DNA. The tyrants will burn in Hell, and it's our job to set up their appointments with God.

The part of a gun that is consodered a "gun" by current laws is the frame.

You can still 3D print a frame and then just buy thr remainder of thr parts because for example a barrel by itself is not considered a gun. A trigger by itself is not consodered a gun.

There are, to my knowledge, absolutly no laws prohibiting the sale of parts which everything other than a complete frame is considered parts.

Doesn't matter what the barrel and chamber are made of. They aren't a gun.

2
RolandDelacroix 2 points ago +2 / -0

Correct, but every part outside the registered part can be bought over the counter, with cash, no check needed.

TonsOfSalt 6 points ago +8 / -2

As with most things, the lines are blurred. There are some pistol calibers that would take down an elephant.

2
sordfysh 2 points ago +3 / -1

Not really. The guns would be mostly used in medium to close combat, and a 10mm pistol round can take down a grizzly.

Pistol rounds just mean that they aren't necked. Usually means less velocity, but still can have a lot of stopping power.

wiombims 6 points ago +7 / -1

It doesn't matter what you can print. The only thing that matters is what you can legally own, carry, teach your kids with ... and ... maintain proficiency with by buying enough ammunition. Without all (or either of) those things, there's no point in printing guns.

You can already buy polymer and brass AR15 receivers for $35, and finish them with a hand drill.

Farage_massage 1 point ago +1 / -0

But who would ruin this perfectly good and totally legal paper weight like that?

Farage_massage 1 point ago +1 / -0

See also, that guy that was printing “coat hooks” that the ATF went/is going after.

Isn’t that why they stole the 2020 election? By 2022 this country will have be unrecognisable

Agreed.

wiombims 4 points ago +5 / -1

It's really not. They did it for the money. This is just low-quality chum for their base.

2
bolonaro 2 points ago +2 / -0

Sucking up to Lobbyists, that is the true problem with Washington. They get their money on the side, just look at how all these corrupt Democrats in offices all have senior positions in dodgy companies across the world.

TD_Covfefe_Crusader 8 points ago +8 / -0

Our illegitimate government is not constrained by the Constitution because no one will hold them accountable. Every branch has been subverted and corrupted.

The UN posting up on US soil did it for me. Something about Jekyll Island, as well. The Constitution is just about ________.

She's being kept out of public view because apparently she's even more senile than Biden. She frequently forgets the names of her own staffers.

I thought the same about states changing voting laws days before an election, yet here we are.

7
wiombims 7 points ago +7 / -0

You don't have to think about this one. Scotus (to a (wo)man) doesn't believe that rights are absolute. Yes, that means that they can ban everything except a single shot musket and that would be constitutional (according to their interpretation). You might get a dissent from based coffee and based cream but even they believe rights are not absolute.

5
Marshall2 5 points ago +5 / -0

They've been ignoring the Constitution almost from it's signing.

4
Weallseethetruth 4 points ago +4 / -0

They have lost the battle on gun control over and over... They will never successfully fully disarm the people here!!.... I think that is when you WILL see right leaning autonomous STATES!!.. not zones!! Then you're talking about secession and a real civil war.... None of this will pass the Senate or the supreme court if it does pass the Senate

sad. and now they have the numbers in congress to push this through.
