That is an excellent point. But their objective is simply to make armed resistance ineffectual. I'm not an expert about guns, but I would think a pistol caliber has much less range and power to be effective in combat against "assault rifles." That is a win for theses usurpers.
Yes I agree, however from what I can tell current issue with 3D printed rifles is the barrels and chambers have to be metal. It’s possible to electro-chemically machine a barrel in your garage but it really only works for straight walled cartridges. Most rifle ammo has a shoulder so it’s difficult to get the complex chamber cuts. Assuming you have access to a lathe it’s entirely possible to make a complete rifle caliber assault rifle with a printer. The tech is really close it’s just needs a little more time. Also some guy on YouTube is prototyping a printed rifle chambered in 45-70 Government.
It's worse. Nutcase introduced a bill to "ban assault rifles." Yea. Congress is literally trying to violate the U.S. constitution.
Too bad for them. Pistol caliber “assault rifles” are readily 3D printable. Within a few years no amount of legislation will stop the inevitable.
