Honestly this entire virus episode has been pretty peripheral to me. I suspect it's been the same way for a lot of people living in places that "don't matter".
Sure, our county shut down nonessential places last year. For two weeks. Then they left it up to the businesses, which gradually opened back up to various degrees depending on their services. Everything has been open since. The two exceptions are the hospital and nursing home, which still have restrictions, but are not completely locked up.
My company "mandated" masks....which almost no one adheres to, aside from when nosy "safety" office types come around. Corporate was playing CYA.
Our state health department issued a mandate a couple months ago, which included mandatory masks and crackdowns of gatherings. The sheriff's office told them to pound sand.
In short, it's been normal as fuck around here since the beginning. And everything is fine.
So, PedoJoe, you can piss up a rope. Or shit your depends, whichever you prefer. Free people don't need your permission for a goddamn thing.
