I have watched pretty much all of the footage, and I agree that he should have taken his knee off several minutes earlier.

I also saw Floyd having trouble breathing when nobody was touching him earlier.

And the coroner's reports indicate that Chauvin's actions were not the immediate or proximate cause of death.

I think Chauvin should walk away a free man based on the evidence I've seen. I've no confidence that will happen, but absent new evidence, that's how I'd vote.

A free man on the charges for sure. A workplace reprimand , DEFINITELY at the very least.

Oh, I don't think Mr. Chauvin is going to ever be employable again. He's going to have to move to another country.

Would you want to be his partner knowing how big of a target is now painted on his back?

nah, it all dies down after a while people are just emotional. He will likely move to a different state and take a job in a small home town setting where people are more level headed. Seen it happen before. He is still hire-able.

Hope you're right.

I worry that the more insane and committed of the Antifa types will never give him peace. I'm thinking name change and career change, and likely losing touch with the few family and friends who had the nads to stick by him the past year.

Sad thing is that there are many incidents like this one all across the country every day. Guys break the law and police are put in tough positions and make tough decisions, sometimes right, sometimes wrong.

But the media decides which ones we get upset about. I've seen worse police brutality with my own eyes.
