I'm avoiding Valheim, it looks far too addictive and I'll waste hours and hours on it when I have got so much to do already. Sucks because it looks awesome.
It's surprisingly addictive. I've never been a big fan of survival crafting games. I never got into Minecraft, or DayZ, or Conan Exiles. But I've been having a lot of fun with Valheim so far.
The game intentionally uses models and textures that look like they're from a game 20 years ago. However, the lighting, particle, and shadow effects are on the level of modern games. It makes for a very unique-looking game.
Minecraft is going pretty nuts lately. In the next update they’re finally updating cave generation so caves will spawn with different biomes now instead of just being a basic tunnel.
If you played in beta then way too much has changed to properly describe, lol. Redstone is one of the funnest aspects of any game I’ve ever played. Engineering your own electromechanical contraptions to mess with game mechanics is a ton of fun.
Wow that sounds cool. I did circle back when they added the ender dragon and played with red stone not long after it was introduced. I might check back in sometime.

Nice! Want to try this game soon.

Avoid spoilers, walkthroughs, or anything else like that for maximum enjoyment.
I have way more fun struggling on my single player than I do on a server with "powergamer" friends.
Good advice. That is how I usually play games these days. Would love to play with my brother if we can manage to find the time.
My brother and I play often. Very addictive game.
If you play together, I strongly suggest you agree to not progress through a milestone until you are both ready, and can both do it together.
Thanks 👍 Good to know.
I played Minecraft a while when it was still in beta. It was fun but this looks more so!
Probably the biggest thing that will surprise you about Valheim is the download size.
1 GB. That's almost unheard of today.
That is some efficient programing! Nintendo would be proud.

That sounds like a good blend and balance actually. I used to play Unreal Tournament Star Wars maps back around 2000. This looks better than that lol!
