In practice, the police allowed them to block a busy intersection for weeks around 5-7ish pm. It became a shitshow with counterprotestors on an opposite corner. Eventually it stopped as the kids had to do virtual school and the weather got bad. They are all fair weather protesters. Despite a large Black population within a short distance, the BLM protesters were almost all white teenagers.
