In the riots last summer there was a woman and kid trapped in a car and surrounded by 5 or so "protestors" blocking her from leaving. The police basically said, "aww, sry, we'll we're told not to come help." Then one of the people pulled a gun on her, she ran him over, and NPR ran a piece saying right-wing extremists/white supremacists are targeting peaceful protesters with their vehicles.
