Actually, the Reich allowed private ownership of guns the whole time. Just not if you were antifa, communist, or jewish. Don't know why they needed to say the same thing three times, but hey.
I remember investigating this a few years ago, but my memory is admittedly a bit hazy. I remember it as the Nazis actually strengthening gun restrictions upon Hitler taking office, and then only later in 1938 removed gun restrictions for Nazi party members only.
I'm too lazy to look into it now, am I remembering it wrong?
