If you own rental properties, you're fucked.

Cheaper to burn them down for insurance

cookiesforsale 146 points ago +146 / -0

No you'll get slamed for arson. Just go on twitter and rip on BLM... they will burn it down for you. Especially if your properties are in impovershed neighborhoods or you're guilty of being white.

Big brain solution.

Paint the sides with "Derek Chauvin did nothing wrong." That'll do it.

HeavyVetting 22 points ago +22 / -0

inb4 insurance doesn't cover BLM damage because they're just enforcing "equity"

21
ModernKnight 21 points ago +21 / -0

Many insurance policies don't cover damage from riots. Read your insurance policies VERY CAREFULLY before taking this course of action.

It’s not an election year, they are no where to be found

cookiesforsale 10 points ago +10 / -0

Nah they set up a new autonomous zone in Mineapolis... and within 30 hours their "Larping federation security forces" had already killed a young woman in cold blood and left her to die.

Tenants inside or out?

There was a guy in NY who kidnapped his tenants and left them somewhere miles away because he didn't get his rent for months. He got arrested.

5
BlondeBombshell88 5 points ago +7 / -2

That’s kind of amazing

5
TheGin89 5 points ago +6 / -1

I remember this! He left them in a cemetery.

Maybe that’s the plan in Minneapolis

^^^This. I have a friend who's retirement is based on rental income.

He may lose his own house to the bank in the end.

The thing these people don't get, is the very concept of Socialism would not even exist without the wealth they can draw on because of Capitalism.

Socialism is a wind-up toy that's fun for a while, until there are no producers left in the market to rewind it.

rmadrid1588 21 points ago +21 / -0

The bank gets the tab on worthless houses, government loans money's but it's not enough, government sizes everything for restructuring. Restructuring takes at least current year +10

When rich people live the life of having unicorns that shit money the poor people will eventually want the same too. They will get gubment to make that happen.

KuzoKevin 49 points ago +50 / -1

My friend is not rich. He never went to college and never bought stocks or contributed to an IRA. He and his family have lived a very simple lifestyle, because one doesn't have a choice with a dozen or so mortgage payments every month.

He is a genius wrt real estate and planned his retirement perfectly. He and his wife would live comfortably when all the rentals were paid off. He'd be able to afford a handy-man instead of doing all the work himself and leave his kids with a nice inheritance.

This guy still works a full-time blue-collar job, by the way. He's not just living the American dream, he's fucking earning it.

Omar can shove all that shit right back up her ass. She seems to think a family that owns and operates the local pizza joint is at the same level of the Walton family, because - all business owners are rich.

NotAPuma 18 points ago +21 / -3

Smart Guy. College, and IRAs aren't worth your while anyways anymore.

The only good time to get in the Stock Market was when Sam Walton owned Walmart, back in the 80s specifically.

Trump2024 9 points ago +9 / -0

Why didn't your friend buy a money shitting unicorn like the rest of the rich people?

12
Unboosted 12 points ago +12 / -0

Landlording isnt "rich", its a service industry like waitressing and landlords are the only ones who are REQUIRED to perform a service and not get paid for it and its been this way for a year.

5
MarcusAurelius 5 points ago +5 / -0

I would love to see the socialists say "COVID care is a right. Nurses and Doctors are all rich and should provide their services for free."

Are people downvoting because they disagree or because they think you're wrong.

This is exactly how the US will devolve under communists they just have no idea how bad it will get yet, still in the faggot bubble that's been built for the last 20 years+

19
Roadpower 19 points ago +20 / -1

It may start with rental property owners but it won't end there. The destruction cycle of gross economic illiteracy doesn't stop until you force it to stop or until it burns through everything. History is extremely clear on this score.

12
KuzoKevin 12 points ago +13 / -1

Imagine the irony of someone breaking into Omar's house and claiming a bedroom.

How could she justify calling the police?

10
Roadpower 10 points ago +10 / -0

Double standards don't even register in their minds. They want what they want and that is the full extent of their thinking on the matter.

Her latest husband did that after she paid him enough.

17
Scooby721 17 points ago +18 / -1

I would pay my rent anyway. Because my landlord is a good guy. Plus, fuck her.

9
cuhboose 9 points ago +9 / -0

I'm curious though as if it includes mortgage payments, can't you defer them too? It's also a deferment, it's not just magically making payments disappear.

So can't they fall under the same protections?

8
KuzoKevin 8 points ago +10 / -2

Yes or no, depending on what state you live in, but once the "deferments" end, who's going to be better at collecting the money owed? The bank can take your physical property. The landlord can't take his own property.

3
cuhboose 3 points ago +3 / -0

Very true and good point.

3
NC_patriot 3 points ago +3 / -0

She's calling it the Rent and Mortgage Cancellation Act.

6
KuzoKevin 6 points ago +8 / -2

Which means tax-payers are going to foot the bill?

That skips Socialism and goes directly to Communism.

4
cuhboose 4 points ago +4 / -0

They can't cancel anything unless they pay it themselves or get the banks to agree to eat the cost, which you think they will let that happen? Lol lobby money will shut that down in that case.

Deferment they will allow, cancellation? Never going to happen.
