Then the landlords can't afford the property and sell or abandon them, then what happens to the inhabitants?

Literal retards cannot think in long term cause and effect.

They can, and they know exactly what will happen but push it forward under the guise of justice.

Exactly. If rent is “forgiven” then why the fuck would I pay to fix the water heater or unclog the toilet? I’d take the first opportunity to not renew the lease and either sell or just leave it vacant rather than make no money while the property is worn down.

Also, I was a handyman before a nurse. I worked on a lot of section 8 housing. Blunt wraps, needles and condoms all over the yard where the innocent kids would play, and the inside was ALWAYS a fuckin mess. You knew the people in those hoods who paid rent or owned, because their properties were often immaculate, even surrounded by shithole hoodrats. I lived on a street in this neighborhood, I was the only white dude on the street (with an 85lb pitbull and a bunch of guns, plus former Marine, I felt plenty safe) and my neighbor worked 5 days a week and had the sweetest little kid. Her house was nice. Surrounded by shitty section 8.

Every day while working these porches were full of guys my age or younger not doin shit, just smoking weed and listening to music and selling drugs, while some 45 year old black dude would carry his weedwacker and push his mower down the street paying his way by cutting people’s grass for $20. He would cut mine, even though I did landscaping as a handyman. You could see the generational difference that was destroying these neighborhoods. 2 people shot within 2 blocks of me the year I lived there. And this isn’t in a major city this is Wilmington, NC. It was sad but I loved living there tbh.
