Yeah, they stopped fighting in the West but kept resisting the Soviet troops who were raping and murdering their way in from the East.

(Of course, Roosevelt and Churchill handed Poland and half of Europe over to Stalin/Commies after claiming "freeing Poland" was the reason for the war. There's been a lot of smoke blown up our butts for a long time.)
