The original push for women in the workforce was made by big corporations because it would saturate the job market and drive down wages.
Now a lot of families need both parents to work in order to earn a decent living. This is also a small part for why the push against homeschooling is happening (the other obvious one being that they won’t be able to indoctrinate as many kids)
I think it’s important to note that women, as all humans, have inalienable rights and that equal protection of those rights under the law is an absolute moral necessity. If it was the commies that pushed women’s rights to use it for their own ends then we fucked up by lobbing them a softball. Women should be able to determine their own path. And no one should look down on them for choosing to have a career or for being a stay at home mom or anything in between. No special rights, no artificial societal pressure to be the “right kind of woman.”
Too bad special rights for women is exactly what we have going on. Women only scholarships. Women only job training. Womens only promotional opportunities. Benefits and selection preferences for women-owned businesses.
With the way the economy has evolved in the digital age, women who want to work should look to create businesses that they can run in their spare time from their home. Then look to get involved with other moms so that you aren't isolated with just children 24/7. It's especially true for women whose alternative is a low paying job at a retail store or even staff level office jobs. What a shit grind to be stuck in.

Also they were needed during WWII and then some didn't want to return to their old lifestyle.
