How many times with the Local Starbucks, chipotle, etc. be looted, vandalized, destroyed for them to spend tens of thousands of dollars to repair the damaged only have it happen again before they realize it does it make sense to have that location open anymore?
I have a feeling it has to do with the fact that they are national chain and can probably offset those losses or higher insurance rates why is it independent smaller stores have no way to offset the losses. At what point do insurance companies start refusing to ensure businesses for riot related damages in that part of Portland.
Doesn’t California have some law on the books where basically unless you steal Less than like $500 they basically said we don’t care and we’re not gonna do anything about it.
I didn’t realize it was that high. So I can basically walk into a Best Buy, target, etc. and steal a $890 TV and walk out the door in it’s just consider the cost of doing business to them as the state doesn’t care. No wonder so many businesses are closing down in bad areas.
Yeah, something like that. Frequently, what happens is a mob of 100+ goes to the store all at once and cleans it out (especially in Chicago, where they have looting down to a science).

In California, a lot of the chains are pulling out of the big cities, due to rampant shoplifting.

Less than 900-1000.

This is retarded. What ever happened to looters will be shot on sight?
