Good question. But given the fact there is constant pressure from media, institution and the reality that you have exactly 0% chance of dying from this if you are remotely healthy. They gave in.
They decided it wasn't worth the future hassle to not get jabbed by a useless vaccine.
If you're young and remotely healthy there is minimal chance of death or debility. That's why these people should not get the vaccine. That's why you can't even get the vaccine right now unless you're really old or a healthcare worker.
It's simple, do they watch TV? It's very easy to sway ppl when you tell them that the "educated", "enlightened", "intelligencia" and the wealthy, including every celebrity they know is also taking it, and then making it seem like if they don't take it, they are some science denying, backwater, hick that looks foolish. So Yea, even among the Trump base, not everyone has strong willpower to ignore this shit and tell them to go fuck off and doesn't give a shit about optics or being called names. How many Trump voters do you reckon really understood MAGA? There's probably a lot that only voted Trump because they've been lifelong Republicans (yes we also have sheep in our ranks), but they'll tell you they also don't like him they just can't vote for a Democrat, but they really don't get what MAGA is about, those are the ones that compromise in every conversation with their liberal friends/co-workers on gun laws, immigration, foreign aid, etc bcos they don't want to sound like "rednecks" to their "highly educated, city dwelling, sophisticated" (in quotes bcos they aren't) liberal peers

Can confirm. Most conservatives I know are getting it. There are only a handful of my friends who, like me, are dead set against getting it.
