It's very easy to sway ppl when you tell them that the "educated", "enlightened", "intelligencia" and the wealthy, including every celebrity they know is also taking it, and then making it seem like if they don't take it, they are some science denying, backwater, hick that looks foolish. So Yea, even among the Trump base, not everyone has strong willpower to ignore this shit and tell them to go fuck off and doesn't give a shit about optics or being called names.
