Looked at modifying my health insurance so I could finally add my daughter and fiance to the plan. I'm making in the $50s per year. My company already covers my insurance costs, but to add 2 dependents would cost MORE than what I pay for rent each month to do it. How did we get to this point? How is it acceptable to pay more for health insurance for a family than a house?

Health insurance is a scam. Cancel it and set up payment plans with the doctor/hospital directly.
Id rather pay $50 or $100 per month toward a medical bill that collects zero interest than pay $400-$600 per month for a health plan that will still require out-of-pocket expenses and a 5k deductible. Its a scam.
