In my liberal shit hole city, this past summer , there were BLM uprisings/ protests ( ahem, excuse me, where are my manners? I Meant peaceful demonstrations) scheduled every week downtown. I have a daily commute to and through town so naturally, these infuriated me for holding back my time and patience. Amongst a whole novel's worth of other reasons I am adamantly against BLM and Antifa groups. Trump famously tweeted against the big girl with dreads and Trans guy that were drinking old people's beers and threatening/ screaming racial slurs/ hitting over the head local bicyclists and leisurely couples minding their own business. They went viral again for going in and harassing, threatening/trashing a local black owned McDonald's. All summer my city of Pgh was boarded up (if they were lucky enough to stay open during strict Demonrat Tom Wolf mandated lockouts.
Sorry, long post...I'll break it in two parts
May 29th was the most violent but every week still contiued...police cruisers were ignited on multiple city blocks. Police Horses sustained burns from projectiles and fireworks being thrown at them. Police officers sustained injuries , including eyesight and hair loss due to explosives and fireworks thrown at their chests and heads. All this , mind you, while Blm acquired city permits so the cops on horses , bikes, motorcycles and patrol cars have to block off each city block as they marched....and looted, defaced property, trespassed, assaulted, set ablaze, harassed, pillaged... amongst many other crimes. The chant was "no justice, no peace, abolish the police" and "white silence is violece" as well as "ACAB" and "I can't breathe ". Now, out of 118+ arrested by LE and local FBI...15 were actually convicted. The corrupt DA and Governor dismissed the rest. In a single day (may 29) we had more damage to the city than the Captiol on the 6th and most city dwellers are still unaware of this , let alone, people that follow MSM or commute there. All local news outlets either refused to cover the destruction and violence OR they came out with fluff pieces, praising these actual insurrectionists!
