Young Americans seem more interested in journalism degrees than math or engineering. So they're fucking useless.

That falls squarely on the corrupted institutions of America (actually Western countries in general).

You can't lay the blame on teenagers who barely know how the world works or what would be a good career path for them.

American schools do not provide adequate encouragement, skills or awareness for American students to pursue STEM fields - or even just non-STEM education that is applicable to tech. Furthermore, they don't help students, who have average ability in math and science, to still gain enough skills to make them employable in the tech space.

The student loan system and the corrupted universities make it all too easy for students to spend several years in useless degrees ... the students are not given the adequate feedback (i.e. not being able to pay bills) that tells them that they are wasting their time.

Lastly, American businesses do not spend their vast sums of money on advertising the opportunities in tech, scholarships, apprenticeships, internships etc ... because they would rather import cheaper labour from abroad.
