Why? Well, Utah is trying to turn Salt Lake City into Silicon Valley tech hub 2.0. They are trying to lure people as an alternative to California. And, to be fair, it's not a bad place to go for tech jobs right now. Lots of engineers in the valley there too.
But damn, Mike Lee is not doing it for the benefit of the American people, he is straight-up just trying to lure the billion dollar investors and companies to come there by pushing massive corporation friendly labor laws that make it easier to get cheap foreign labor. That's how I see it.
