These are the same people pushing Howard Zinn's version of American history. Zinn's book explains why socialists hate America so much. In a court of law they differentiate between a the truth and the whole truth. The whole truth tells both side of the story, not just one side. The truth that benefits you and the truth that doesn't. Generations of Zinn's have been puked out in higher education and now we reap the consequences.
You can make anybody hate ANYTHING if you consistently push one narrative, one truth, one side about that particular thing. I know a lot of people who call themselves socialists, but I've never actually met one, a real socialist. They're all phonies. Maybe some day I'll meet a real one. I call them socialists because that's what they call themselves. But they own stocks, like money, send their kids to private schools if possible, drive cars, own real estate. Not much different from you and me in how they actually live their lives. But they've been trained from an early age to hate America. And so they hate it.
They seem to want free healthcare but none of them have any health issues so I can't believe that's what they really want. (And even free healthcare isn't really all that socialist since this is really the only thing they are asking for). Sure, there is no mortgage and no student loans but that's a one time handout at best.
What really seems to drive them is some personal grudge or desire for revenge. It's so sad because revenge won't even make them happy and I don't believe it's what they actually want.
I think they want to fit in, be cool, be loved, succeed. They won't admit that. I'm not sure why. Supposedly they are SURROUNDED by extremely 'loving' liberals who claim to CARE CARE CARE about everyone.......yet they all feel alone and unloved. It really proves how uncaring liberals are too each other. I've seen it first hand. There's no true acceptance. It's just pointing the finger at some invisible enemy (Trump supporters) and feeling even more empty.
It's the promise of a fulfilled life that leaves you emptier than you were. It causes huge resentment. And, instead of seeing that, they double down on it, only to get hurt even more.
