If we have an illegitimate government with a rigged in "president", should we still be paying taxes to it? The IRS is understaffed and doubt they'd be able to handle all of us. We could have a new tea party movement. I get its risky and maybe not that good of an idea but what else can we do as protests when voting obviously doesn't matter anymore?

If you're serious, it's a good idea to get the battlefield ready. Based lawyers who are willing to fight for the cause. Split up into two groups. One that will follow the law and supply money to the other group who will defy the law and be prosecuted by the corrupt government.

The fact that you're thinking you can get away with not paying taxes as a sign of political protest because "I doubt they'd be able to handle all of us" is not a good sign. It reeks of not willing to sacrifice anything for your beliefs. I would not take a step forward with such a weak conviction-less coalition. 1/6 should have taught a lesson in how to not engage in live action role playing.

Spread the word about this, your idea is even better;

"Based lawyers who are willing to fight for the cause. Split up into two groups. One that will follow the law and supply money to the other group who will defy the law and be prosecuted by the corrupt government"

Hard to fight someone who with the push of a button can seize all your assets. The better way is to stop the flow of taxes they cannot control. Sales Tax is the key. Stop buying stuff you do not really need if only for a couple months.

Fair enough but I also think those who fear the IRS can still take part in the protest; they could all look into any legal tax loopholes available to them and avoid as much as possible. Nobody should be paying this government more than necessary.
