What happens when supply is low but demand remains the same? Prices go up. Who doesn't have to worry about rising prices? People on gov't assistance. You know who does? People who work their asses off for stagnant wages stymied by decades of government regulations that make running a successful business more expensive every year. This isn't "reperations," this is preperation. They know the war is coming, a starved army is an inefficient army.
