But Trump did not want Americans to shed each other's blood for his power. That is remarkable. It may have been the wrong move, but he kept the peace. There is wisdom in that. It is hard to question that. I do not want the bloodshed of my neighbors, regardless of how stupid I think they are. It is a grave thing to ponder at its basest level.

Why should young men die? Not for hubris. For their country, a much greater cause, those men will be desirous to be the heroes of history, covered in mud and stained with blood, yet clothed in a righteous cause among their brothers and all mankind. Should that day have to come American patriots will rise to the occasion. They always have.

Some part of me knows that one day this may well happen, and it is both a pitiful idea and an alluring one all the same if it means saving America and the world. But it must truly mean that if it also must happen. I pray that it can be won through psychological and philosophical political warfare, a metaphorical and rhetorical struggle, but I am not foolish enough to think that will be the ultimate result at some dark point that lies ahead. I am not entitled to that hope. People want a righteous cause, and they want a reason for living.

My righteous cause is to spread the Gospel of Christ and live for Him. Beyond that I will fight for this nation, for America is the one great political hope for the world, and this great experiment of ours to give men liberty and freedom is a dwindling light. I wish to stir that flame anew, and never let it be extinguished. I hope all of you will join me. Let's fight that culture war, fire those meme cannons, read and learn from history, and trailblaze our own as we have a sacred responsibility to honor those who came before us with rugged individualism and great vision, understanding what this country is about from its founding. We have been united as a people before, and that day will come again. For now the division is as fierce as ever, and the fray which we have entered is still to be won. Do not let up. Do not be discouraged. We must win the day.
