The liberals used to be contained to Denver and Boulder, but they've spread out to surrounding, formerly conservative counties. I am tired of the Maskholes and Karens. My parents are becoming elderly so I have to be in the same town with them to take care of them. They want to move to a mask-free state so they can salvage what's left of their retirement.

Colorado used to be so red, and Californians had to move here and ruined it.

Thanks for listening. I'm just so fucking cracked.

Florida. The Texas spirit is being diluted with blue dye, but nobody can tell Florida Man what to do.

Right now they have an awesome governor. Their elections are so dammed close though. Are they under Dominion control?

The awesome governor that just said the government should take down Gab? That awesome governor?

Or did you mean Florida's? Florida is not completely red, and they have a lot of weak people, but I don't think they can be completely tamed, either.

I was thinking Ron DeSantis my dude.

Yeah, he seems pretty good. Hopefully Floridians will take note when they vote in the future.

Florida, no contest, Florida all the way.

But stay and fight, fix your own home up.

I've voted conservative and even convinced some family members that lean left to vote for Trump, which they did. The culture shift is apparent. Liberals want to move here.

Don't overlook Oklahoma or Arkansas. Both are Red and affordable. Check eastern OK or northern Arkansas.

You know I like Claremore. I just don't think the parents can handle the cold and tornado dodging.

2
TEXinLA 2 points ago +2 / -0

Yeah, tornadoes follow that SW to NE OK swath. Stay out of that and the incidences drop remarkably.

And don't discount parts of AZ. Much of it is still RED and if you keep out of Phoenix and Tucson you'll fit in.

Glendale is probably the most affordable and nice place if I had to be near phoenix. But Phoenix itself is horrid.

Yup. Northern AZ is beautiful. Stay out of Sedona and still some affordability.

Dewey Humbolt (never been there, just seems to have lots more Rs than Ds) is near Prescott. High desert little place with a wild west look.

So your going to run and not fight....

Harambe 4 points ago +4 / -0

No one else is fighting, leadership MIA. Yeah I'm going to look out for the safety of my family. My neighborhood is CA is going downhill and I have no intent to stay friends with my libtard "friends" around here that supported the lockdown.

We're done. We are leaving.

I'm not sure how to fight a culture shift. I simply don't want to live around liberals. Are you suggesting I start setting up 'Change My Mind' tables around town?

Florida, Texas weather sucks

PurplePoloPlayer [S] 1 point ago +1 / -0

I've heard that. Hobe Sound in August though...cheap golf, but so, so painful.

1
Urusovite 1 point ago +1 / -0

Yeah it can. 118º here mid summer in hill country 2 years ago or maybe 3. But there's more than weather too.

Both are good places to live. If you want a governor with a backbone, that's Florida at the moment. However, Abbott is likely finished as our governor. I am hoping we'll see someone like Holsome take power next over a lefty. It's up to you.

Coming from Colorado, you are probably looking for similar climate and geography? Hill country is your closest bet. Austin is a shithole, but a lot of the hill country area is red. Places like Abilene are red enough liberals consider the entirety of West TX "far right nazi extremists" and thats where most of my family is from and where I go to hunt birds. Texas has potential to improve and I'm thinking it will in the near future when Abbott is out. Hopefully. Business is also great in Texas too and gas is cheaper than anywhere else. Weigh it all.

If you are a city man, then Florida is probably better because Texas's largest cities are blue and full of illegals. Florida will have that to a lesser degree (at least until the wall is built and they start taking boats).

Look at all the perks and consequences. What do you want? Give us a list and the Texans will tell you what they have to offer and the Floridans will tell you their side.

Abilene looks so beautiful and charming. I really appreciate the thoughtful reply.

I think we need to get to a smaller town that still offers things like good internet.

1
Urusovite 1 point ago +1 / -0

Both Florida and Texas are developed so internet shouldn't be a problem in either unless you're out in the middle of nowhere. You just have to find a provider who can get you what you need. Central Texas even has google fiber offered some places.

I'm just amazed how many in these comments think voting still matters. It's amazing.
