I won't be celebrating the birth of this country in its current dark form. I could give a damn about fireworks. Gosh, who gives a shit - our nation is completely upside down in the hands of really evil people, but we're going to defy them about fireworks? Wow, we're so badass.
I do hon. Which is why I don't want to do the whole patriotic thing while under people like Biden, et al. It just feels wrong. Like if my church hired a pastor who was satanic - I'm not going to sing in the choir, ya know. lol.
You have a point, certainly - but my patriotism was based on an illusion and things long past. I do love my fellow American people, my American culture, American History - but it's all so contaminated now. And I feel as though anything I do to celebrate what it was meant to be, will be distorted by the media corrupties into some kind of hoorah for Biden-Obama-Pelosi-72Genders-CCP-Iran, lol.
I agree with this. I didn't stop being a patriot when Obama was president. Because Obama was just a president. He isn't America. America is bigger than any elected office.
I get it. Now knowing that EVERYTHING we have learned about our nation, heck the world, has been based on half truths, and that we have been living under a false sense of having any say in our Govt, it is hard to look at this country as what I once thought of it.
As a veteran, a part of me is disgusted that I served this nation because we veterans were doing so under lies about our missions and roles in the military. Other part is still proud because I truly thought I was doing my part to do good for my Country.
Maybe we can celebrate in hope that ONE day we will achieve the America we were always told it was instead of a false simulation of it.
I don't expect utopia, because there is no such thing. But power is a corrupting force. And what's more powerful than the United States? It's been corrupted completely, and is being used to crush liberty, and faith in God too. I can't celebrate that.

Wahhhhh
Indeed. Wahh.
Dude, lay off the black-pill.
Log off, go outside, enjoy life for a few weeks and get it together.

I can see the path your going.
If your patriotism is dictated on who occupies the White House, then you're doing patriotism wrong.

Things are fucked up, yes. But I won't stop celebrating what our nation is and was.
The bulk of America is good. It's the large cities destroying USA.
We need strong patriotic events to inspire the kids, and build our movement wider are larger.
I fully support big patriotic celebrations that celebrate the pride we have in our founding fathers accomplishments.
Haha firework go boom.
