It is an experimental vaccine with dangerous side effects for a virus with at least a 99% survival rate... I am not surprised at all that most people see no practical need for the vaccine.

Don't believe any of the numbers. Every single number put out to the public since Covid started has been a lie. They just throw out any numbers they want. Some days it's more, some days less. It depends on which way the wind is blowing.
Here are just some examples of inaccuracies:
They are assuming a positive PCR test must necessary mean an infection by COVID-19, which is ignoring the possibility of false positives.
They are mixing people who died with the virus with people who died by the virus.
They are undercounting vaccine deaths.

Most of us can't even get the vaccine even if we wanted to. Hospital staff and nursing home residents were the only they are allowing to get the vaccines.

In my state we're here: People age 45-64 years with one or more underlying medical conditions listed below. People age 16 or 18-44 years with two or more underlying medical conditions listed below. People age 50 years and older in multigenerational housing
Where the medical conditions include obesity and diabetes, soooo they should have plenty of people to stick the shots in if people were clamoring.
100 million, 74% seems like a very high number to me. I suspect this number will drop dramatically once they open it up to everyone. I doubt any healthy 20 year old would take this vaccine voluntarily.
I had a decade long friend tell me they hoped anyone who refused the vaccine would die a horrible death today. So that's the difference between MN and TX. I'm 30 and healthy (and trying to get pregnant) and obviously we're no longer friends.
This is the way forward. We can't be coerced into taking the vaccine if the majority of people don't take it to begin with.
Businesses aren't interested in catering to only 10% of society they want to service 100% of society. If enough of us don't take the vaccine business still needs to cater to us and therefore can't coerce us into being vaccinated.

If you take the complete doses of this vaccine, you nullify your life insurance if you die because these vaccines are experimental. Plus why would you need two or more doses in the first place?

Well its also about inventory, since people taking thier first dose needs a second. Not neccesarilly acceptance. In my country the different cities have used between 60-85% of the distrubuted vaccines and we have a huge vaccine shortage. So 3/4 overvall is a high nunber

That probably has a lot to do with more extreme lockdowns and measures and misery, and people hoping if they get the vaccine they'll be allowed to have some freedom. In less restrictive places, it's very easy for a person to see no difference between getting it and not getting it... other than the fact that it's taking a risk with an experimental vaccination.

Sweden said in May 2020 that herd immunity for Covid-19 was about 22 percent.
