Didn't think about this before, but what if it was all a giant false-flag and Chauvin was either coerced (or volunteered) to help make it happen? If he'd driven off, there still would have been the death and likely some drama and complaints, but there would never have been that iconic video and photograph they used to convince the majority of people, including conservatives, that he was murdered. He also sat there for what, nine minutes like that? The optics of that are horrible and IMO that was a bad move, if for no other reason than because the optics are so obviously horrible with a big crowd around, at that.
And if he gets convicted he'll have to go to a supermax facility where he's never let out of his cell or he's gonna get Dahmered on day one. He's going to live out his days as a marked man no matter what.
