Also the trend is that STRONG FEMALE LEADS cannot have any problems. They are perfect in every way from the start. Estrogen and vaginas and such make this work I guess. So there is no character arc. The first fight scene the STRONG FEMALE LEAD wins easily. And where do you go from there? If you are in modern Hollywood the answer is clear: More CGI explosions.
Captain Marvel vs. Wonder Woman.
A couple years apart, one everyone loved, the other... only the Woke cultists loved.
One saved its franchise from oblivion. The other was a hit ONLY because it immediately preceded one of the most anticipated movies in history.
One had a woman that was strong but also... human. Loved babies. Cared about people. Actually worked together with a man that she ended up loving.
The other had the personality of freaking cardboard and completely inhuman.

Yeah, that kills it.
Avengers Infinity Crisis starts with Hulk himself getting his ass kicked by Thanos.
Captain Marvel never did that.
Heck....
I had a thought when watching End Game when Captain Marvel was fighting with Thanos -- a gauntlet armed Thanos.
What I would have liked to see: Thanos suffers a few blows, wonders who he's facing, and uses the Gauntlet to analyze Captain Marvel.
He learns she got her powers from an infinity stone -- the same stone on his gauntlet.
So he uses the stone to extract her powers. Turns her to a normal person.
Can Captain Marvel do something useful without her powers?
That would have been interesting.
So of course we couldn't have that.
A story arc where, through hard work and perseverance, she succeeds without her powers? Buddy that America died 20 years ago.
