Was there an official enquiry made through the chain of command that was dealt with by those tasked with handling the domestic media, or are these simply uniformed members of the military advocating policy on official channels, because a member of the press made a public statement, and they are so outraged they feel the need to respond while on our dime, ignoring policies and traditions that prohibit advocacy in uniform?

I have a feeling I know the answer, and it's not a good one.
