To combat hyperinflation, you will not be receiving a pay increase, but you will be given the privilege to increase your work week from 50 hours to 70 hours

No OT is a two-way street. They tried that shit here, where you could work extra and receive "comp time" so you can take off in the future without using your vacation or sick time, but nah. I said somebody else can work it, then.

They did that at my office. The first 5 hours over forty is "casual" overtime and uncompensated unless you get an exemption from management. Guess who clocks 40.0000 hours a week?

Keep in mind the customer is billed for those 5 hours. If I'm working and the customer is paying, I'm getting my share.

My company pushed for a 40 hour week to become four 10 hour days a few years ago. I said, "Cool! As a salaried manager I work five 10 hour days now. I'd love to take a day off!". They didn't think that was funny.

Guess who quit working frickin' 10 hour days?

That's that penny grubbing shit that makes me crazy. And they all feel so accomplished that they were able to hold back that little bit of money even though morale drops significantly from shit like this.

As part of our new company policy, we are promoting everyone to a salary job! So now, we can legally pay you the same as before, but with 50% more hours.

Lol, ever seen how hyperinflation works? You need time in the evening to shop with your day's wage, because the next morning you would be able to buy 10% of the goods you could buy in the evening.....
