You must be from NorCal, anybody south of San Francisco refers to it as “the 5,” lol. You’re really NorCal when you also measure distance in time rather than miles.
Born & Raised.... Was a VERY different state then... I can remember traveling south and thinking what a beautiful state I lived in... those days are looooooong gone.
shit hurts. I grew up in the NE but since I was a kid my Parents remember me saying I wanted to live in California. I ended up going to film school in Burbank finally at 19 years old, and I'm sure part of why I romanticized CA was from my love of movies. Unfortunately even then I noticed I knew more about politics than most people my age (this was in 2008 and Ron Paul was the one who woke me up) and I could tell people were kinda lost philosophically in Los Angeles at least. Very disillusioning and sad. Hollywood is such a weird place but oddly fascinating because of it's aesthetics...such a beautiful place but the culture is like a hybrid of the last days of Rome with dark energy and an almost suspension of Reality.
Dear Megs, Even the leftists hate you. Boo Hoo... Go play in the middle of I-5. Sincerely, Everyone

“How far away is that?” “About a half-hour.”
