I don't understand why no significant contingent of disaffected voters formed since November to boycott tax season this year. (How could the IRS possibly go after 75 million people??) It's obvious that government has gotten way too big and Congress and other bureaucrats have too much power. How do you plan to reign that in without choking the source? Paying the IRS (which should be abolished) is acknowledging the authority of this illegitimate government not by or for the people.
Also the fact that Trump spoke at CPAC in support of the Republican party, not choosing to diverge with real patriots at his backside to me was a massive missed opportunity. The public was awakened and they want accountability and locals ruling themselves. We don't need people in big cities thousands or even hundreds of miles away telling his how to run our lives. As long as you are not infringing on someone else's property rights or liberty, you should be able to live free, do whatever you want, and keep the money that you earn.
I know I'm not the only one here that believes in Austrian economics (free markets), broad civil liberties, the Bill of Rights, and limiting government. Let me know if you side with liberty and actually want to get something done in the coming years locally, in your state, and the nation at large.
We need a viable third party in this country. The actual differences between left and right partisan hacks at this point are minimal. It was obvious to me in 2016 that Trump represented something different. This could be a turning point for the country as the hope of populism and love of capitalism and American values soars. Now nothing is getting done besides signing bills to bankrupt future generations and destroy the reserve status of the US dollar. Why support that system?
or just take the party over cuz that draws more attention. the progressives have done it to the traditional dems. if you're looking for populism libertarian party is getting a rework.
I'm not convinced that the Republican party will be fundamentally changed. And you're right. The Mises Caucus are reclaiming the national LP in the name of actual libertarian values and disavowing wokeism and other missteps / missed opportunities of past campaigns and central party figures.
should be fun to see where everyone is when the dust settles. trump took over the Reps. and brought over Dems. this forum is all the proof necessary. Idk how you wouldnt be convinced at this point unless someone is channeling their inner ray charles.
