They should have shot them, and then run them over. You purposely impede an emergency vehicle in it's route when running hot you deserve to be shot, period. Shoot first and ask questions later.
The behavior of the cops is based entirely on the media coverage. The media had a spotlight on the cops last summer in order to promote the anti-Trump narrative building up to the election. Now that Biden is in office, sorta, The BLM protests aren't as useful to the media at the moment, so the cops are going to go back to doing what they do best, being cops.
I feel like run over would be more like if they were under the car as in the car had to go over them. This was more of a car bumped into them or car went through them.
Last I remembered, it was illegal to be in the middle of the street. As a situation of "it's illegal for your own safety."
Good for the LAPD. It's time they stopped waiting to see what rioters decide on doing...when a cop car is moving--especially with the light bar flashing--you don't run up and stand in front of it and refuse to move. Nor do you then leap up on the hood of said moving vehicle and expect to meet anything but the asphalt.
