I’d rather be stuck with Redditors than religious fruit loops.
There’s absolutely no shock that people who are so stupid that they believe in magic sky men are the same type of people who believe Trump was chosen by God. Remember when god sent Jesus and he went around sleeping with prostitutes, it’s like they’re brothers.
Hopefully one day conservative values will mean retaining those which made countries great and less about pandering to idiots.
Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances.
1st Amendment of the Constitution.
If you think freedom of religion didn't make the country great, and the Founding Fathers didn't believe the free exercise of one's religion was needed, to the point of putting it right off the bat as fundamental in the Bill of Rights, you completely missed the point of religion.
I'll do you one better. The USA cannot exist without religion, for the law of a few shall not supersede the Rights of Man given by God. Without God the Rights of Man is however the few see fit through the law of Man, and such a free society inevitably falls in disarray. And we are getting closer.
Sounds to me like you want to import Islam into the USA.
Maybe you can remind us what greats it’s brought the world recently, or how Scientology has benefitted mankind, or do you just apply freedom of religion to mean the main one as a catch all of why it’s great?
Religion has always been a crutch for people to answer questions they either don’t understand or we don’t know the answers to, then exploited by people to control others.
There’s nothing in MAGA that requires religion and as pointed out the majority are hypocritical fuckwits who are nothing more than virtue signalling “I go to church on a Sunday so me cheating on my wife is fine” types.
Sincerely, someone who got away from the born and raised indoctrination.
<- r/atheism is that way
