The other major successful war won against nuclear families is to get us accustomed to debt. We've got to have the new phones, a bigger house, several car loans, credit card debt for junk from China etc. This makes people believe they simply can't afford to have a family or have a parent stay at home to raise them. In summary, if people weren't so impatient and impulsive with purchases, and if they learned to be content with what they have, they'd stand a chance. But social media also perpetuates this desire by taking the "comparing yourself to the Jones'" and increasing it by ten fold. Social media, debt, lack of morals or family values are destroying america. And it's entirely understandable. We're being attacked on soooo many fronts.

I'm one of the rare ones who understands this too. My bills are always less than 10% of my earnings, unless you factor in food as a bill lol.
