I know, right? I mean, my first thought was "how in the hell is there even any kind of normal context for an image like this? It's gotta be shopped, right?"

Edit: on a more solid look, I'm willing to bet the gun is shopped in, and it's actually a microphone.

Snopes dates it back to 2012, says it was photoshopped. https://www.snopes.com/fact-check/biden-woman-gun-photo/

They claim that it was "a rather mundane photograph showing Biden conversing with participants at a town hall event". The gun is absent but his menacing expression, leaning in, and finger pointing was in the original.
