We Christians need to be careful when thinking about this. We are to submit to the governing bodies and rulers that are all appointed by God, which is all of them. However, we are called to resist tyranny and laws that directly violate God's law. https://www.gotquestions.org/American-Revolution-Romans-13.html

This is one of the most powerful sermons I have ever heard that explains why we have a duty to resist tyranny: https://youtu.be/8_4Z_rPgetk

To me personally, I believe this: the supreme law of the land here is the constitution. Right now, we have people in power of the country that are violating it's laws, and blatantly. Our Bill of Rights are rights given to us directly from God, and those rights are not just being ignored, our rulers are actively trying to abolish them. I believe that we are justified in civil disobedience and refusal to follow the laws this illegitimate administration creates. However, they are put into power by God, and we therefore still are called to submit to them. But anything they say that directly violates God, we need to fight against. I am going to resist anything blatantly unconstitutional or what they decide to do that clearly violates God and His rules. God and Jesus are my king, and they are the only ones I will bow down to. I'm no expert in these matters, and I may be completely wrong in how I approach this. But to me, if Paul can write those words to submit to our rulers while under the cruel and capricious Nero, they apply to all kings. Even the ones we don't like. Even illegitimate ones. We need to be careful and discerning with how we resist this new government, and I think we should do this by only following the rules that uphold God, and actively resist the ones that clearly don't. Gray areas are probably needed to be followed. Ones that very clearly defy God we need to resist

I reject your hypothesis that governing bodies and and rulers are all appointed by God. They are most clearly appointed by the DEVIL!
