Have you watched Kumo desu ga nani ka? Really different anime and it's neat seeing a spider solve problems. Anime progresses a bit fast but the manga has the stuff it skips over.
Never thought one of my favorite anime would be an anime of a spider going insane and talking to herself while avoiding death.
I've seen the recent good ones like goblin slayer and shield hero but you can literally count the good ones from previous seasons on one hand while the rest of the majority were junk.
Luckily this season seems to be shaping up to have good ones coming so there's that. Masculine anime like fotns from the golden era are gone which also had a good chunk of cyberpunk genre.
This is true. But the good ones are REALLY GOOD. I think a lot of the generic trash is used to train interns and the really good people are on the good series.

Watch Goblin Slayer. There was a period of nothing good happening but there are some good anime on right now.
Also lots of mass produced trash that no one cares about.
Rising of the Shield Hero is also a good recent one, although it's straight up isekei rather than just swords and sorcery fantasy.
