I agree, he got an idea of what his future would be like when he addressed the troops as he was leaving DC.

I always viewed him as the VP pick to assuage the GOP establishment, an establishment politician unlikely to ruffle any feathers and mild enough to make Trump's spiciness easier for pillow biters to handle. I held out little hope that he was truly MAGA, and he confirmed my doubts with his treachery. I never saw him as a viable presidential candidate.
I once fancied that ANYONE could be redeemed, and saw Judas as a sympathetic Useful Idiot To Be Pitied; salvageable. I have evolved on this, and not away from Christ, but rather toward realizing even His boundaries... I would now watch Judas hang himself, without helping or calling out, without satisfaction but also without flinching. And Christ DID just that with his divine vantage.
