I remember the first few times I met this dude. Really cool guy. Actually quite funny -seriously. Very very clever. But he gets all that from his Father.
I suspect you are right on that. Luke describes Him as growing in wisdom and stature, and grace. Isaiah describes him as ordinary looking in Isaiah 53. He may or may not have been a red-head like King David, but he would not have been the only one, either.
The word "ruddy" as KJV puts it is unclear in the Hebrew. It could mean red headed or red skinned. I don't know how much that may pertain to Caucasian?

I grew up immersed in great hymns of the Faith, I'll try to share some of that with you. We had an amazingly talented choir, and hundreds of people in the congregation singing 4 part harmony following us. Real pipe organ. On special days we'd add a brass choir of 2 trumpets and 2 trombones, I was always part of that.
Cathedral, with glorious acoustics. Easter's coming up so it'll be easy to find great hymns for this season. I'll try to add one a day. I don't have one favorite, there are too many to pick from:
Words included! Real theology here. The only thing this one doesn't do is alternate verses between male only and female only, which is a nice effect contrasted by the refrain sung by everybody.
Hymns stick with me better as well. My theory is the music sets it in my brain better than simply hearing a verse.
I've always thought of this one for Good Friday: Rather like the simplicity of how this one is done: (Second Chapter of Acts - Oh Sacred Head, Now Wounded)

And one of my all time favorites, though not technically a Resurrection Day Song, Wonderful the Matchless Grace of Jesus
-Acapella-

Hymns are a great way of meditating upon the Truths of God's Holy Word, inviting it to change us from the inside out. We can have a favorite, many favorites, or love them all equally; God grants us freedom with this but anything that helps us love Him is good!
Some Easter hymns are so dense with theology there's no way to keep up with the meaning at the pace of the music, even if it's slow and stately. We'll wind up reeling; "drunk in the Spirit." The hymn I'll add today isn't like that at all, it affirms ALL the central points of the Faith but instead of diving into any one of them deeply, it just celebrates the whole Gospel. In almost raucus fashion:
That is super sweet: The voices are lovely as is the arrangement. I always love it when I can hear the lyrics clearly, they have so much meaning. This brought me to tears, why would be a long story, which I will tell if others would like. Thank you so much.
The hymn I'll add today is very different from the others so far. A much simpler church and video. Most from here drown out the choir but you can at least hear the melody being sung.
This hymn is all about the lyrics! No Easter bunnies but Spring is referred to a lot which is ok, especially when it's tied to the deeper meaning which this hymn does.
The first comment has all 6 verses typed out. The last 3 verses are so powerful ...
No He did not, but He did have compassion for such as these, and not all people can be labeled or should they, thanks for taking the time to respond.
Peace and Grace to you and yours
AMEN, said all of God's children....
Praise The LORD Jesus Christ He is Worthy Of ALL Praise & Honor

I cringe everytime I see white Jesus. This may even lean into violating the second Commandment.
Jesus was a plain Jew. He wasn't beautiful, or handsome or anything.
He was however, the Son of God and was a propiation for our sins via His life, death and resurrection.
Repent and believe the Gospel yall!
He is Jewish, and probably olive skinned. We don't know if He's handsome or not.
This drawing is not realistic, and hopefully not trying to be.

JESUS WAS A DESCENDANT OF KING DAVID WHO HAD RED HAIR AS DOCUMENTED IN THE SCRIPTURES. IT IS UNLIKELY THAT KING DAVID WAS ANYTHING BUT A WHITE MAN.
Can you give book chapter and verse for this?
IT IS A HYMN.

You claimed King David had red hair "as documented in the Scriptures."
Where?
This hymn doesn't say anything about that.

1 Samuel 16:12 is the passage in question. It's been a while since I read that, thanks.

BEAUTIFUL! I LOVE HYMNS. THEY SEEM STICK WITH ME BETTER THAN BIBLE VERSES DO.

Do tell!
I've never heard that one! Thanks.

"Upvote if you hate Lucifer!"
I fucking hate these posts.
1 like = 1 prayer
If you need someone on this site to remind you to pray, you're doing something wrong. Posts like this are Christian Virtue Signaling,
Nobody's asking you to upvote. (Which also annoys me)
Nobody's reminding anyone to pray.
Nobody's virtue signalling.
But someone is stalking me... and that's you! Your sanctimony is vomit inducing like OP.
You must assume the worst.
That's a personal problem.
You should get that looked at.
You take meth and say gobbledygook like most commies.
And you lie, continuously.
Patton didn't.
u/Leatherwood/ doesn't know how to unlock the CapsLk Button... look at all of his posts! The equivalent of a homeless street preacher.
Jesus was homeless and he preached, what's the big deal
Did he take drugs? Did he shit on the sidewalk? That's what I'm talking about. Those people are NOT Jesus, I hope you know.
No He did not, but He did have compassion for such as these, and not all people can be labeled or should they, thanks for taking the time to respond. Peace and Grace to you and yours
