Look for ammo on the shelf first then look for a gun in that caliber, not a revolver owner myself but my usual shops have been wiped out of everything except 5.56, 7.62 and 12 gauge, 9mm has been harder to come by and stumbled on .45 at a pawn shop I randomly started to visit while waiting for the gun shop to open after not seeing any for about 6 months

I've been able to get what I need here in California but limited to two boxes ea of any type per day so I just go to the gun store every day get 8 boxes (2x2 types of 9mm and 2x2 types of 44
