Well, children like being told they’re special. And boot camp counts for very little in terms of actual military indoctrination. A year or two of cranky ass sergeants and that diversity hire bitch who keeps screwing up your pay is educational. So I wouldn’t call it hopeless based on that alone.
But yes, I agree that we got too comfy. Too comfy, too safe. Unending peacetime is dangerous for the human psyche I think. Why would we develop a finely tuned threat detection system if there are no threats?
I'm just saying, when everyone is celebrating how few white people are in the military... Not to crazy to think White is becoming the minority there too. Plus, who's more likely to join for "free education".
