It appears that today’s tyrants took Orwell’s 1984 book to heart. They are trying to establish what was portrayed in the book as the final system of tyranny in the form of oligarchical collectivism. They long ago established the equivalent of the Ministry of Peace in the form of our Military Industrial Complex, which keeps us in perpetual wars. They have now nearly perfected their Ministry of Truth (everything of importance is coordinated lies; history is being rewritten every day; the only forums for public discussion and idea exchange that remain are tightly controlled; say the wrong thing and you are quickly banned by the thought police).

The surveillance system and cancel culture that has become so prevalent has laid a strong foundation for a Ministry of Love (Big Tech is watching you). It seems that the last ministry to take form will be the Ministry of Plenty. Due to his recent purchases, Bill Gates now controls more farmland in America than anyone else, so it seems that food control and rationing is already being planned (The Covid operation triggering the collapse of the monetary system seems like a sure way to break the supply chains and usher in this last piece to the puzzle).

Full enslavement to the State (both mind and body) does not seem far away now. Individualism has obviously lost the battle and, since liberty and freedom cannot exist without it, free thought and opportunity will soon be extinct. Our children will acclimate to this new way of life; in fact, many have already been conditioned to desire this change. Those of us who value liberty and free thought will never acclimate though. For us, room 101 awaits.
