Because its a non lethal virus. That only severly effects a small percentage of the population and mostly elderly

The obesity thing is no joke. I know a guy who died from Covid at 40. He was morbidly obese, which means you’re extremely difficult to ventilate.

And the US is what, 40%+ obese now? It’s a legit national security emergency. The military is finding it hard to recruit 18 year olds who aren’t grossly overweight.
