I'd compare it to dogs being neutered. You do it so less dogs are suffering in the streets.

For discussion's sake, however, I'd ask about this topic to people who were abused in any terrible way. Do they wish they'd never been born? I know higher rates of suicide are linked to abuse, but what percentage overcame their terrible circumstanes to live a fulfilling life? Is this even a matter of percentages in relation to answers?

Personally, the unrealistic ideal of diligent contraception remains, yet killing an innocent life still doesn't encroach the list of possible solutions.
