That's cool, I didnt know something like that existed, things have come a long way in the past decade or so. I remember trying to fuck with those starting chimneys. I switched to using an electric smoker about 10 years ago for things like jerky and meat sticks, gave up the charcoal barrel for pellets now.
Yep and I dont have to fuck with coal or wood while drunk as fuck at 2am.
You almost sold me on pellets.
I have an electric starter that I just shove into the charcoal for fifteen minutes to get it all going. Nothing else needed.

I've used those chimneys, they're only useful when camping off grid.
The electric charcoal starters are pretty great. Its gets the coals going quick without the lighter fluid smell or taste.
Oddly enough electric charcoal starters are not new, they're just not common in spite of being used in Home Alone.
