I'm sure he would love to, but the problem for the Church is that over a billion people are Catholic and most of them live in places that wouldn't put up with it.

He realizes how unpopular he is and is the Vatican is losing power. He just wants the power back. He is a shit.
Funny how they kept moving towards LGBT rights and equality in the church until they aligned with the muslims. Then it's all "We can't bless that."
