OF FUCKING COURSE NOT! IT was thought up by some high school student in a term paper in the mid-2000s. IT has no basis whatsoever in fact. Same thing with plexiglas dividers and face shields. If the damn virus is airborne it's just going to waft around under the face shield or over/around the plexiglas barrier. About the ONLY thing a face shield does is stop most of a sneeze or cough directed at your face from a foot or two away directly at your face.

Masks don't work because virus particles are simply too small to be filtered from the air by any fabric or material that isn't too dense to breathe through. There is no fabric that can block virus particles, not even N95...the space between the threads is simply too much

"social distancing" is just a cutesy term they gave to people giving distance you normally already give to people you know to be sick - exhibiting obvious signs of being sick...sneezing, coughing, fever symptoms etc... the only way it really works at all is if you're so far apart it wouldn't even matter, like outside and maybe 30ft away from them or more. Indoors it's not going to matter if it's airborne because the virus could just waft around in the air undetected until the air current finally settles and it hits the floor or someone inhales it. The hope would be that the concentration of virus particles in the air would be low enough that getting a couple hundred inhaled would not be enough to start a real infection before your immune system shitcans it.

This is the same guy that told us masks weren't necessary. Then he told us to wear two masks!
