they'll still just deny it. They won't say it, but they'll treat you like your eyes are lying to you.. and in the case of the last 4 years I'm totally convinced this tactic works on like 70% of people.
You deny, say you didn't do anything, deny, excuses, deny, lies, deny, repeat lies... Eventually months later you're still denying and promoting falsehoods but the other person has given up.. they accept the lie as truth now.. hardly remembering what was done and instead half-assed remembering just not to trust you... but they continue to anyways
And instead of throwing them out on their ass to rot like they deserve, you continue to do nothing while they steal from you, lay in your bed, invite dangerous strangers over while your kids are around.
Pretty soon you just stop protesting or bringing the matter up entirely.
Because you're too weak to do what's right, your house is now occupied by addicts and dealers, your family terrorized every day for the rest of their lives.
